Katharina got in touch with track and field through her parents and has been doing it since she was 6 years old. At the age of 15, she began to exercise more regularly. She quickly found the 800m to be her favorite discipline and put her focus on the middle distance. At 16, she competed at her first German Championships in the U18 class and immediately took the 2nd place over 800m!
Katharina’s long-term goals include attending the 2019 Summer Universiade in Naples (Italy), the 2019 World Championships in Doha (Qatar) and the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo (Japan).
